When we set out to build the finest header system for the Porsche 991
GT3 we had a monumental task in order to create something better than
what Porsche developed. We determined the shortcomings of the OEM
system and made significant improvements to the exhaust flow
characteristics. Our design helps equalize each cylinder's exhaust
pulses for better exhaust scavenging and consistent exhaust
temperatures. Additionally we paid close attention to the exhaust flow
into the catalyst which as recently become a problem with the OEM
headers. The flow of the factory exhaust manifolds into the catalyst as
caused excessive heat which causes this premature catalyst failure and
cracking of the factory header before the catalyst. These issues have
been corrected in our header design which helps reduce exhaust
restriction and temperatures for increased overall power while improving
the header integrity.
